Final Fantasy fans know that Final Fantasy 15 was once known as Final Fantasy: Versus 13, when it was revealed ten years ago.
In a new video diary series, Square Enix delves deeper into how things changed in the years since, both about the game and the industry.
The first part, titled '10 Years in the Making', explores the difficult and long cycle the game's been through to reach the current vision, and what Square is referring to as "the ultimate Final Fantasy". Director Hajime Tabata and other leads discus the evolution of the series since its early days, and how 15 has to appeal to fans original fans as well as new players.
