More than a year after its official debut, Sony’s PlayStation Now game streaming service is being prepped for launch on PC and Mac in the U.S. and Europe.
In a post on Sony’s PlayStation Blog today, PlayStation Network exec Eric Lempel announced that the company plans to roll out a PlayStation Now PC/Mac app in Europe “soon”, with a North American launch due “shortly thereafter.”
Furthermore, the company plans to release a $25 USB wireless adaptor next month that syncs PlayStation 4 gamepads with a PC or Mac.
This is significant because it means a host of PlayStation games, many of which have heretofore been exclusive to the PlayStation hardware ecosystem, will soon be more easily (and legally) playable on personal computers.
