According to a report from Bloomberg, Sony has reduced the production outlook of the PS5 due to the ongoing chip shortage.
The ongoing chip shortage means the PS5 may still prove difficult to find going into 2022.
As of August 2021, the Sony sold 10.1 million PS5 units worldwide.
This is largely due to the ongoing chip shortage, along with a shortage of other parts.
