Rising Storm developer Antimatter Games is set to close after its parent company, Enad Global 7 (EG7), announced plans to “close down” the UK studio later this summer (Q3).
Crypt of the NecroDancer studio Brace Yourself Games recently confirmed it had laid off half its staff, while PlayStation-backed Deviation Games reportedly laid off as many as 90 employees earlier this month.
“EG7 expects one-time, non-recurring costs in the range of SEK 15-25 million (£1.1m – £1.8m) for the studio closure.
As a result, the Board has made the decision to limit further investment and move towards closing the studio.
