In a statement provided to the outlet, the hacker group has said it viewed Insomniac as “an easy target”.
As a result of the leak, over 1.3 million of stolen internal Insomniac files, amounting to about 1.67 terabtyes, have now flooded the internet.
The leak has also revealed that Insomniac is targeting a 2026 release window for Marvel’s Wolverine, and that the game will be followed up by multiple X-Men sequels.
Insomniac Games was recently hacked by a ransomware group known as Rhysida, which claimed to have access to large amounts of internal, confidential data, including personal information of several employees.
