Video game industry layoffs, AI ethics are top concerns for workers, new survey says

The industry survey found that two-thirds of game developers surveyed are men, while 23% are women and 5% are nonbinary.

Based on the survey, we found that men make up a large majority (87%) of game developers with 21 years or more experience in the game industry, and white men are the biggest demographic overall (92%).

GDC researchers asked game developers about their experience in the industry as a way to analyze how diverse the workforce is.
