Given how massively successful Hogwarts Legacy has been for WB Games (it currently stands at over 30 million units sold worldwide), there was never any doubt that the company would be prioritizing a sequel sooner rather than later, something that WB Games itself has suggested in the past as well.
“The rest of the company was very curious about what we helped to unlock with Hogwarts Legacy last year.,” he said.
Now, president David Haddad has confirmed to Variety that a sequel to Hogwarts Legacy is indeed in development at Avalanche Software.
As pr Haddad, the sequel is a “very big priority” to Warner Bros. Discovery as a whole, and that the game will also have some narrative ties to HBO’s upcoming Harry Potter series.
