Sony 'aware' of demand for a new Crash Bandicoot

  • The Crash Bandicoot license has been owned by various third-parties following his debut in 1996, including Konami, Vivendi, Sierra and Activision.

  • SCEE president Jim Ryan has said that the company is “aware of the considerable affection” for PlayStation mascot Crash Bandicoot, but there is nothing to say about a new game “at this stage”.

  • Earlier this month, Sony confirmed that Activision still owned the rights to Crash Bandicoot after his appearance in Uncharted 4 led to speculation that the platform holder could have reacquired the license.
