The original Doom’s soundtrack was inspired by Metallica, Slayer, and Pantera

If you’re a fan of the original two Doom games, then you know that they’re some of the most heavy metal-inspired titles ever to be released.

The influences aren’t apparent if one listens to the original Doom tracks individually, but listening to the tracks side by side with riffs from the bands makes it pretty obvious.

It turns out that Doom‘s soundtrack was more directly inspired by metal than we thought.
