Activision Blizzard aims to increase the number of women and non-binary employees by 50% over the next 5 years.
As part of that, as recently announced in a press release, the gaming giant has appointed a chief equity, diversity, and inclusion officer.
Activision Blizzard has been the subject of a flurry of controversies over the last year, and in the aftermath, the company has been taking measures to make much-needed improvements to its work culture.
Taking up the role will be Kristen Hines, who will start reporting from April 25 to the chief people officer, Julie Hodges.
