Activision has shifted over 250 million Skylanders toys since the series made its debut in 2011 with Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure.
Christened Skylanders Imaginators, the new installment will shake things up by letting players create their own characters using an assortment of powers, abilities, names, appearances, and catchphrases.
Just weeks after Disney binned its own toys-to-life effort, Disney Infinity, Activision has unveiled the next entry in its popular Skylanders series.
Skylanders Imaginators will also introduce class-based gameplay, and will support all 300+ toys from previous games.
