In addition to Mirage, RED, and HEXE, Ubisoft has also announced open world title Assassin’s Creed Codename JADE for mobile devices, and released new details on Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s upcoming free content drop.
Though Assassin’s Creed has stuck to an open world RPG formula since 2017’s Assassin’s Creed Origins, it’s become clear that going forward, the series is looking to deliver different kinds of experiences to players.
The upcoming Assassin’s Creed Mirage is a stealth-focused action-adventure game inspired by the series’ original games, and though Assassin’s Creed Codename RED will go back to being an action RPG, that won’t be the case with the game that comes after that. Assassin’s Creed Codename HEXE will be the second game to join the Infinity hub after RED, but unlike its predecessor, it won’t be an RPG.
“I think this Infinity approach is allowing us to have different experiences of different sizes as well,” he said.
