Batman: Caped Crusader is all Gotham City throwbacks in first trailer

  • Prime Video’s Batman: Caped Crusader may not exactly be set in the same continuity as Batman: The Animated Series, but if the first trailer is anything to judge by, it’s definitely set in the same nebulous time period.

  • The collaboration between all-around genre filmmaker J.J. Abrams, The Batman director Matt Reeves, and Batman: The Animated Series co-creator Bruce Timm will premiere on Prime Video on Aug. 1.

  • Batman: Caped Crusader was announced in 2021, canned in 2022 during Warner Bros.’
