Battlefield leak reveals next game’s title, time period, release date

A leaked image of the next Battlefield game from EA and DICE reveals it will be titled Battlefield 1 and will be set during World War I. The leaked artwork, which comes by way of the Xbox One Marketplace (via Polygon), shows a soldier wielding weaponry that would fit a World War I timeframe—a German Mauser c96 pistol, a rifle, and a trench club.

The evidence backs up earlier rumors of a World War I setting for the upcoming Battlefield.

The release date listed on the poster says that the pack will release on October 18th, 2016, presumably alongside the game.
