PlatinumGames’ witchy action heroine takes on kaiju in 2022 sequel Bayonetta 3 is coming to Nintendo Switch in 2022, developer PlatinumGames and publisher Sega said following a four-minute gameplay trailer shown during Thursday’s Nintendo Direct.
Sega and PlatinumGames brought the first two Bayonetta games to Nintendo Switch in 2018, bringing with them amiibo support and local wireless cooperative play.
The trailer, as heavy with cinematics as it is with in-game footage, shows Bayonetta coming to the rescue against a kaiju-esque enemy who is overwhelming the local defense.
Since then, PlatinumGames had been mum on Bayonetta 3, promising to show more only when the game is ready.
