Microsoft filed the trademark on June 2nd, only a few days ago, so it’s unlikely that we’ll see anything related to Direct Reality at this year’s E3.
If Direct Reality is VR related, it’s unlikely to connect to Project Scorpio.
Just ahead of E3 2017, Microsoft has filed an interesting claim: a trademark application for something called “Direct Reality”—or, to be more exact, “DIRECTREALITY.”
Not much is known about Direct Reality, but it’s filed under the trademark that covers both “computer game software” and “computer software for holographic applications.”
