Crytek just made CryEngine completely free for everyone

Crytek has released the CryEngine under a “pay what you want” model, meaning that the video game engine is available for free.

Diving deeper into the legal agreement attached to CryEngine, it seems Crytek is serious about opening up their development tools.

If you like the service we provide, we suggest contributing to its ongoing development,” Crytek said on the engine’s official site.
