During a chat with God of War’s David Jaffe, Days Gone Game Director Jeff Ross mentions that he would have loved to have worked on an open-world Resistance game.
According to Ross, the local management studio wasn’t interested in developing Days Gone 2 but did mention Syphon Filter.
Coming in for another chat with David Jaffe, best known for his contribution to the Twisted Metal and God of War franchises, Days Gone devs Jeff Ross and John Garvin gave an open and frank account about their criticism from management at the time and also how an open-world Resistance game pitch was turned down.
Even though Days Gone was released in April 2009, the post-apocalyptic title is never too far from the gaming news headlines.
