The jump forward being made in the remake is impressive to see, with improvements and changes being showcased in several ways, including cutscenes having been altered, the visuals looking drastically improved, and of course, protagonist Isaac Clarke now being fully voiced, unlike the original.
Instead of simply picking it up from the table, in the remake, Isaac now crafts it himself manually using parts that he finds on the workbench.
Dead Space launches on January 27 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
Earlier this year, creative director Roman Campos-Oriola talked about how the Dead Space remake takes cues from 2019’s Resident Evil 2 in terms of how it’s approaching the original title.
