During its quarterly earnings report, Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg revealed that Bungie’s Destiny had almost reached 30 million registered players.
Hirshberg said, “It’s clear fans are hungry for more content than we have been able to create.
It’s not too far off from High Moon Studios working with Bungie on Destiny 2 though this is the first time we’re hearing of Activision assisting in content updates.
It noted that Destiny players were averaging 100 hours of play time each and that “remarkably strong even after the release of some competitive games in the genre.”
