Facebook Spaces, the new name for its virtual reality social network, launched in beta today.
It still looks quite a bit like the demonstration given last year at Oculus Connect, in which Mark Zuckerberg showed off a personalized Zucker-vatar interacting with other Facebook employees in a virtual space.
A trailer showed more of the avatar creation feature, along with the always-popular stylish 20-somethings chatting about their vacations and new apartments.
Those without a Rift can also call into a space with a smartphone.
