At the time Falcom made Ys Eternal and Ys II Eternal, the development staff that was in charge of it had a strong feeling of wanting to challenge a completely new title, so that’s when they decided to follow up from Ys V: Lost Kefin, Kingdom of Sand with a new main-numbered title in Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim.
Falcom president Toshihiro Kondo had a few comments to share about Ys: The Ark of Napishtim, known as Ys VI in Japan, in an interview in this week’s issue of Dengeki PlayStation.
According to Kondo, Falcom has experience when it comes to reproducing the worlds of past titles, which we got to see in Ys: The Oath in Felghana and Ys: Memories of Celceta.
