Final Fantasy 14 Mobile, developed by Tencent’s Lightspeed Studios, is a separate version of the game developed from the ground-up for iOS and Android devices.
According to Yoshida, Square Enix is also “working towards”, “having discussions” about, and “making progress” with Final Fantasy 14 on “Nintendo’s consoles”.
Final Fantasy 14 Mobile will launch first in China, beginning with multiple demos and play tests, followed shortly afterwards by a global launch.
Multiple reports and leaks in recent weeks have claimed that Square Enix is collaborating with Tencent on a mobile version of its successful MMORPG Final Fantasy 14, and that has now been officially announced.
