As originally reported by ClassAction.org, a new class action lawsuit has been filed aimed at Google in relation to allegations of promises of 4K gaming that never materialized on the Stadia service, stating “Google made false and misleading claims concerning the streaming quality of Stadia’s service in order to generate increased revenue for the Google Stadia division.”
The lawsuit began last year in Queens County Superior Court and has since been moved to the New York federal court system.
It was announced suddenly that Google would be shutting down the first party studios, long before they had produced any content.
The class action lawsuit aims to cover any person in the US who purchased a Stadia Founder’s Edition, Stadia Premier Edition, or Stadia Pro subscription because of information regarding 4K gaming or the streaming service’s relative power in comparison to other consoles.
