James Gunn’s DCU kickoff Creature Commandos snuck a trailer into SDCC

The series features yet another roster for Amanda Waller’s Suicide Squad — this time, with an all-non-human lineup.

Apart from possibly finally explaining what’s up with Weasel, the goggle-eyed oddity voiced and body-acted by Gunn’s brother Sean Gunn in the live-action movie The Suicide Squad, the animated series features Viola Davis returning to her role as Amanda Waller, alongside fellow Peacemaker veteran Steve Agee as John Economos.

Creature Commandos tracks a secret team of incarcerated monsters recruited for missions deemed too dangerous for humans.
