Riot Games announced today that the League of Legends World Championship 2022 will kick off on September 29 with the play-in stage, where 12 teams will duke it out to secure their tentative spot on the main stage.
Madison Square Garden will host both the group stage and the quarter-finals, beginning on October 7 and ending on October 23.
12 play-in teams will be fighting for a spot in the group stage, while others have their eyes set on the knockout stages.
Worlds will then be heading to the United States for the remainder of the main stage.
