In its recent quarterly fiscal report, Sony revealed that nearly 30% of PS5’s monthly active users did not have a PS4.
Meanwhile, Sony also says that for users who did migrate from PS4 to PS5, engagement metrics are “significantly higher” on the new console.
That said, it does look like the company is starting to shift the bulk of its focus to current-gen hardware.
“With the spread of PS5, the acquisition of new users is progression,” the company wrote.
