Microsoft’s new studio The Initiative has added a wealth of high profile talent, including God of War and Red Dead Redemption developers.
As you can see, the new additions include God of War’s lead producer Brian Westergaard from Sony Santa Monica, as well as Rockstar’s Christian Cantamessa (lead writer, Red Dead Redemption) as a narrative consultant, Crystal Dynamics’ Daniel Neuburger, and Annie Lohr, a recruiter who’s worked at EA, Riot, and Respawn.
Along with founding a new studio, Microsoft has also recently acquired PlayGround Games, Undead Labs, Ninja Theory, and Compulsion Games.
The Initiative’s new HR & Culture Manager will now be Crystal Dynamic’s Lindsey McQueeney, with Microsoft’s senior director of portfolio planning Blake Fischer also joining the team.
