Niantic’s efforts to crack down continue, with little success Niantic pushed a Pokémon Go update this week that prepped the game for the release of new Pokémon.
“We have detected software that can interfere with the operation of Pokémon Go on your device,” it read.
With this pop-up, players with the blacklisted spoofing apps couldn’t get into Pokémon Go at all.
“This is what happens when you only warn people instead of outright banning them,” wrote one disappointed The Silph Road user.
