Microsoft has announced that the PlayStation 4 version of Minecraft is to be updated to the Bedrock version of the game tomorrow, bringing the game in-line with the Xbox and Nintendo Switch versions and finally allowing PlayStation 4 players to cross-play with the other formats.
The Bedrock edition, as it’s known, will replace the currently existing ‘PlayStation 4’ version on the PlayStation Store, and will be free to all existing owners of Minecraft on the console.
The Bedrock Edition will be required for you to play cross-play with those on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
The update will also bring along the Minecraft Marketplace to the PS4, allowing people to buy and sell content packs, add-ons and more.
