While the PlayStation 5 made some significant breakthroughs with the hardware, fans were quite disappointed with one aspect of the console, and that is backward compatibility.
PlayStation fans are eagerly looking for more information about backward compatibility for PS3, PS2, and PS1 games, especially after recent rumors stating that Sony is working on a cloud-based subscription system.
Rumors had pretty much confirmed that we would be getting backward compatibility in the PS5, but it didn’t turn out to be reality.
If anything, we are going to get a software solution, in which the game will not be running on PS5 locally.
