Almost one and a half years after the PlayStation 5 launched worldwide, it’s finally set to receive Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) support this week.
Upon receiving the update, VRR will be enabled automatically for supported titles (assuming you have an HDMI 2.1 TV that’s compatible with the feature).
The update will go live worldwide and allows for HDMI 2.1 VRR-compatible displays and TVs to dynamically sync their refresh rate with the console’s output frame rate.
In the meantime, it provided a list of PS5 games that will receive patches to support VRR in the coming weeks.
