And though Sony Worldwide Studios recently saw a change in leadership, with the outgoing Shawn Layden being replaced by Guerrilla Games boss Hermen Hulst, their first party won’t be changing the way they approach game development.
This generation has seen Sony’s first party really come into its own, with the developers under the Worldwide Studios umbrella graduating from great games to ones that have defined this generation.
That’s been thanks to Sony identifying and sticking to a successful formula, with narrative and character-driven games ruling the roost.
