Starbreeze Acquires PayDay Franchise, Confirms Payday 3

  • Stockholm-based studio Starbreeze has announced today it has struck a deal with publisher 505 Games to acquire the rights to the PayDay franchise.

  • Starbreeze also confirmed the existence of PayDay 3 within the announcement, explaining 505 Games will share in the net revenue of PayDay 3 (capped at USD $40 million).

  • Following the agreement Starbreeze will be the sole rightsholder for the entire PayDay series.
