Starbreeze acquires rights to Payday, promises to remove microtransactions

However, revenue from the console version of the game, Payday 2: Crimewave Edition, will continue to be split between Starbreeze and 505 Games.

As part of the deal, Starbreeze will retain all revenue from the PC version of Payday 2 as of May 1st, 2016.

Starbreeze has agreed a deal with 505 Games to acquire the full rights to the Payday franchise, granting the company full control over the franchise’s future.
