Payday publisher Starbreeze Studios revealed that it plans to create a sequel to Payday 2.
Over the weekend, Starbreeze announced the acquisition of the rights to the Payday from 505 Games, and the terms that the company shared mentioned the future release of Payday 3 twice.
Starbreeze has yet to provide any specific release information on Payday 3, but the company has promised to remove microtransactions from Payday 2 and plans to support that game for at least another 18 months.
“It’s Starbreeze[‘s] assessment that the price of 30 MUSD will be matched by corresponding revenues on the Payday franchise until such time Payday 3 is released in the future.”
