It’s a breath of fresh, adrenaline-infused, joyfully ridiculous air in a decade where the staid and formulaic cod-military shooter seemed to have an unbreakable stranglehold.
It’s odd to be nodding in furious agreement that a humungo-budget, none-more-mainstream shooter is topping the charts, but man, that’s the way I feel about DOOM (its singleplayer, anyway).
