Valve says supply and production issues for the Steam Deck are clearing up sooner than it had anticipated, which, in turn, means that the company will be able to ship out the device in much larger quantities than expected.
Gradually since its launch though, Valve has been seeing notable improvements in the situation, having confirmed in April that it was ramping up Steam Deck production, and then confirming roughly a month ago that shipments would soon be doubled.
Everyone currently in the Steam Deck reservation queue will be able to get hands on the device before the end of the year.
Early last month, Valve announced that due to a shortage of parts and the COVID-enforced shuttering of manufacturing facilities, it would be delaying the launch of the Steam Deck docking station.
