Street Fighter V failed to break the top five NPD sales estimates in February, the month of its release, losing out to Far Cry: Primal, and fellow fighter Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm.
Capcom is learning the hard way that games can’t be sold on good faith alone, as Street Fighter V failed to reach its sales goals by around half a million, according to the company’s latest financial results.
Street Fighter V managed a combined 1.4 million in sales on PC and the PlayStation 4, but that number was still below Capcom’s target of 2 million before the end of fiscal year 2015 (March 2016).
