The Surge – first major update adds HDR support for PS4 and PS4 Pro

Deck 13 has announced an update for its action RPG The Surge, which adds HDR support for PlayStation 4 and PS4 Pro.

The studio said the HDR update for The Surge adds a wider color range and enhanced details “at contrasted levels of brightness, which creates more “realistic and immersive visuals.”

This refers to enemy attacks that were only able to be ducked or hopped, which prior to the change ignored blocking.
