Toys “R” Us Stores Re-Opening in Japan

Toys “R” Us announced that four stores will re-open in Japan between March and April 2025.

The retail store was less affected in Asia, where locations still remained opened after the closure of the American, European, and Australian stores. Toys “R” Us stores have slowly started to reappear in the US since August 2021 in the form of smaller locations, flagship stores, and pop-up stores. Toys “R” Us Japan will re-open 4 stores between March and April 2025 after temporarily closing them for renovations.

Kisogawa store (Aichi Prefecture) – March 28, 2025 Morioka Minami (Iwate Prefecture) – April 18, 2025 Tressa Yokohama store (Kanagawa Prefecture) – April 25, 2025 Fukuoka Kasuya store (Fukuoka Prefecture) – April 25, 2025 Toys “R” Us filed for bankruptcy back in 2017 and 2018, and all stores throughout the US, UK, and Australia closed by the end of 2021.
