Vive maker HTC hits rocky waters in latest results

The results from its latest quarter paint a picture of a company that badly needs a new hit product.
Aside from the Vive, the company recently released a new flagship smartphone, the HTC 10, which is earning stellar reviews.
Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC, which collaborated with Valve on the design of and manufactures the Vive VR headset, is not doing so well financially.
The company posted a loss for the quarter of 4.8 billion Taiwanese dollars, or $148 million, on revenues of 14.8 billion Taiwanese dollars ($460 million), representing a 64 percent drop in revenue year-on-year.
