Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 was widely praised upon its launch in September, which, combined with the excitement it generated leading up to release, meant success was all but guaranteed for the game- and that has certainly proven to be the case, with the shooter continuing to add numbers to its growing player base.

In October, Focus announced the game had amassed 4.5 million players, while prior to that, the game had exceeded 2 million players in its first two days.
