A playable demo of Yooka-Laylee will be available to Kickstarter backers who paid £20 or more from July, developer Playtonic has announced.
Yooka-Laylee made over £2m after launching on Kickstarter last year, prompting Worms developer Team17 to pick up the publishing rights later in the year.
It will only release the game, however, once it’s “polished, complete and at the quality level you expect.
The ‘Toybox’ demo will be a self-contained, “spoiler-free” sandbox designed to give backers a feel for the game’s platforming, and includes a range of secrets to discover, collectibles to find and “custom-built props” to play with.
