Crimes of the Future comes after a fairly long hiatus for the 79-year-old Cronenberg, whose last film was 2014’s Maps to the Stars.
In a statement, Cronenberg said, “Crimes of the Future is a meditation on human evolution.
It was also revealed that Crimes of the Future will premiere at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival in May in the main competition.
