Niantic has reportedly introduced a new anti-cheat measure in Pokémon Go that prevents flagged accounts from encountering rare Pokémon.
According to Pokémon Go Hub, this new server-side security measure targets accounts that have previously been caught using third party trackers and prevents them from seeing rare Pokémon spawns in the scanned area.
Pokémon Go is available now as a free download on iOS and Android devices.
In statement sent to Polygon, developer Niantic didn’t confirm that the measure is now in place, but did say that it is constantly combating cheaters.
