Resident Evil due for a “full-scale offensive” from Capcom this year

According to Capcom, Resident Evil: Umbrella Corps, which releases in June, will just be a “warm up” for a “full-scale offensive” planned for the second half of the fiscal year.

Outside of the already announced remasters for Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5, no new Resident Evil games are due for release this year. Though it’s possible Capcom could be referring to an unannounced sequel, perhaps Resident Evil 7, it may just be a reference to the publisher’s efforts in celebrating the series’ 20th anniversary, also happening this year.

Capcom has big plans for Resident Evil this year.
