While games like Overwatch and Heroes of the Storm may have had more total hours viewed on Twitch, with Overwatch coming in at a whopping 22.8 million hours, their overall esports hours were much lower, with Overwatch only clocking 2.5 million esports hours viewed and Heroes of the Storm eking that out with 2.6 million hours.
Out of its 4.7 million total hours viewed on Twitch, Rocket League esports made up 3.2 million hours of that, meaning 67 percent of its total views on Twitch were for its esports output, the highest share out of the top ten most-viewed esports titles on the list.
The disparity between Overwatch‘s total hours viewed and its esport hours is especially striking and may be due to Blizzard shifting its esports focus over to the upcoming Overwatch League, as shaky as its formation may be.
Of course, League of Legends, Dota 2, and CS:GO continued to dominate the top three spots, with 26.1 million hours, 23.5 million hours, and 10.2 million hours of esports content viewed respectively.
