These new Steam store artwork rules will go into effect on September 1, 2022.
Steam wants developers to move away from including review scores, awards, and discount text in their store graphical assets (“capsules”).
“Recently, we’ve noticed more text, award logos, and even review scores being included by game developers in their graphical asset images,” Valve said.
