Both the app and the streaming device are expected to launch in the coming months, as per Grubb, and both are part of Microsoft’s “Xbox Everywhere” initiative (which also entails the recent addition of Fortnite to Xbox Cloud Gaming).
Meanwhile, Microsoft is also allegedly partnering with Samsung to making an Xbox streaming app for Samsung smart TVs.
It’s common knowledge at this point that streaming has become an important part of Microsoft’s strategy with Xbox, with Xbox Cloud Gaming becoming more and more of a focus for the company as time goes on.
With the streaming service already available on mobile devices, Xbox consoles, and PC, it seems it’ll soon expand its scope beyond that as well.
